Therapy

I provide individual therapy to teens and adults. I focus on interpersonal connections - listening, comforting, and creating a healing environment that embodies trust in order to help create change. The environment will always be judgment free so that you can feel safe to bring your most personal issues into sessions. I have developed an eclectic, problem-solving approach, involving skill sets from different therapies. My focus is on using an approach that fits you and your concerns. I am an outcome-oriented therapist, who works with you to identify specific changes to be accomplished. All the while placing an emphasis on you learning to establish effective behavioral skills and a healthier mindset.

I am experienced in working with individuals, couples, and groups. I have helped people with a wide range of issues including but not limited to addiction, anxiety and depression, PSTD, communication difficulties, trauma, couples/relationship issues, social difficulties, self-esteem, and existential issues.

Psychological Testing

Psychological assessment can be the first step in the process of understanding one’s areas of strength and difficulties; the ultimate goal being to better identify goals for change. Assessments can include questions related to Giftedness, ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, Learning or cognitive challenges. The feedback process includes providing specific diagnoses and recommendations tailored to address each specific area of need.

Gifted Testing

People with gifted intelligence need to be identified, as they often exhibit special needs in terms of meeting their cognitive potential needs.

Parents interested in making an application for their children to additional various gifted programs, such as the Davidson Institute and Mensa, need to have their child assessed with an IQ test.

For IQ testing, children will take one of the following Wechsler tests:
WPPSI IV (ages 4-6) (Wechsler Preschool and Primary Scales of Intelligence, Fourth Edition)
WISC V (ages 6-16) (Wechsler Intelligence Scales for Children, Fifth Edition)

For teens and young adults, the following is offered:

WAIS-IV (Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scales, Fourth Edition)
